Poem: Skateboard Kid With Cigarette

Skateboard kid with cigarette
Weaving down the street
Deftly avoiding potholes
Balanced on two feet
Shoes are just as dusty
As the mud that’s in the gutter
Wheels keep on moving
Across the cracks they stutter
Cigarette butts are littered
Along with winter’s dirt
Clothes are big and baggy
Bob Marley on his shirt
Narrowly avoids traffic
Barely even teen
Drags on stunted cigarette
And disappears from scene
