On my trip to High River, Alberta, I was shown the Art Wall that was created and collected by local artists after the flood.

It looks as though this building may be demolished, as are a number of structures that incurred damage from flooding. There’s still much work to be done in High River. Right now, I’m unsure of the future placement of this art.
Maybe Welland can take a lesson from a Community in crisis: utilizing unused spaces for displaying public art before they are demolished, while advocating the social responsibility of art in the Community.
