Poem: Firemen Practice

Sitting high up in the sky
Above the broken ground
Ladder in air and unaware
Of all that does surround
Big red truck, firmly stuck
Planted in the lot
Ladder long, but nothing wrong
Nimbly climb without a thought
The firemen work, as ladder jerks
Carries them overhead
An early moon come out too soon
As commands are sternly said
Work as a team and in between
The buildings do they reach
Tell them now and show them how
This is how they teach
Neighbors look from little nooks
Upon the balconies
Photos snapped from cellphone apps
In the evening breeze
The ladder long, retreats and gone
Back to the big red truck
The show is done in setting sun
That I happened upon by luck
